Here are the top five reasons why you should consider demoing at Startup Saturday. Let’s count down!
5. Come, be a part of the HeadStart family
You demo-ing your startup at SS automatically qualifies you to be a member of our inner circle – the Headstart family. So, what does that mean? That means we will do whatever we can to help you grow. Yes, whatever we can. If you are looking for the right people, we will help you connect with them. If you are looking to get funded, we will recommend you to potential investors, who we think might love your startup. Or organize a casual meet-up with your prospective customers, if that is what you are looking for. Or we are there for you, when all you need is a shoulder to cry on.
“Changing the world one startup a time,
To be of help to you is our path divine. “
– excerpt from a poem by Amit Singh, a fellow rockstar volunteer 🙂
4. Connections, Connections, Connections!
If you were always of the opinion that entrepreneurship is a lonely ride, it’s high time you changed that. The world is full of great people – people who can help you in your entrepreneurial sojourn – customer, employees, investors, vendors etc. All you need to do is to look around. Startup Saturdays are among the best places to look around for these connections. Who knows, you might even be lucky enough to find a mentor, who can hand-hold you for the rest of your journey!
Not to mention that we have some great connections too – some big names in the entrepreneurial ecosystem in our Partners list, some of them being NASSCOM 10000 Startups, TLABS etc. Come, present your startup at SS and you may never know, you might end up being one of those 10000 great startups!
3. Help us help you with your BRANDING
Here are some statistics:
Our mailing list strength – 9000+
Facebook Headstart network group – 8500+
Twitter followers – 4300 +
Startup Saturdays are regularly featured in TheTechPanda and the Headstart network blog.
More than anything else, we have a vibrant audience of around 100 people at almost all our SS events, the mix being 80% aspiring and 20% already entrepreneurs.
What do these numbers have to do with your branding? Well, from what we have seen so far, your startup makes the rounds in all these circuits once you demo at Startup Saturday. That means free publicity. That in turn means your brand becomes a lot more visible. That’s marvellous, isn’t it?
2. The feedback
Many startups don’t live long enough to taste success just because they did not validate their idea or they built something that no one wants to buy. Every startup needs some bashing to ensure that it is on the right track, or if not, get on to it. We, at HeadStart, provide you just that – a sounding board to validate your startup. This is one of the few platforms where you can get real-time feedback about your offering from the audience. Bouquets/Brickbats/comments/concerns, be ready to take it all! What’s more, we also have an online system that you can utilize to collect feedback.
1. And the top most reason????
Make a difference. Some of our volunteers have dedicated thousands of hours of their life working for Headstart. We really believe that fostering entrepreneurship at the grassroots is a nation building activity. We win when you win. There is nothing more inspiring for an early stage entrepreneur than seeing a peer become immensely successful.
“As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.” ~ Marianne Williamson
