Patna is a city full of coaching institutes where most of the youngsters come to fulfil their desire to get their dream job. However, there are other youngsters also who have decided to become job creators. Patna has developed some amazing startups in the city in the last five years. The awareness about starting a venture/an enterprise in the state is not at its best. The inclusion of entrepreneurship in institutions is not widely spread and active. But Patna is all set to publish itself as one of the most vibrant startup communities around the country.
The city has welcomed the Patna chapter of Headstart on 9th June 2018 at Work Studio Coworking. The first Startup Saturday was hosted with the most basic topic “How to Start up a Startup”.
The Speakers who were present at the chapter launch were Mr Naresh Nandan, from Bihar Industries Association and Mr Prateek Deo, Founder of DEOGPS and IIMC Alumnus. Mr Naresh Nandan spoke about the importance of demographic advantage while doing business. He also stressed the importance of Incubation centres in a state like Bihar which is not very much enterprising. Mr Pratik talked about the various fears- like of getting copied, ridicule of society, expectations of those around, before starting up & how to deal with it through Determination & taking the initial steps. Highlighting the value of dreams, he connected the audience to their childhood aspirations & dreams of doing something to not only help their wishes come true, but also to keep their feet on the ground all the time. He also discussed how being inspired & copying someone for a me too is different and emphasized the value of being able to execute over creating only plans and urged the audience to not be afraid of their inexperience rather make that inexperience their advantage.
Patna Startup Ecosystem is rapidly growing as young minds are coming forward with their ideas and are committed to pursuing it. Few startups like RailRestro, Farms & Farmers, Husk Power System, Swayambhu, Emedix, PatnaBeats etc., have also grabbed the attention with their success by starting up in Bihar. Because of these startups, many youngsters are getting inspired and shifting their mindset towards Entrepreneurship. Last month, Bihar’s first Coworking Space- Work Studio Coworking was launched with a good response so far. All these recent happenings have set the tone of the startup ecosystem on right track.
Headstart Patna Chapter has been launched with a hope to become another catalyst to the endeavour of making enterprising Bihar.
