Emerging services based business models @Startup Saturday Bangalore

Given that we are witnessing slowing growth rates at major IT services companies in India and also given that the market is probably a big no go zone for newer and smaller entrants with no or little differentiation, time is right to take a look at emerging businesses and business models based around services that have high differentiation and a clear need in the market place.

Startup Saturday Bangalore in this coming weekend on 18th October will have a couple of such businesses present themselves for what we hope will turn out to be a very interactive session with the audience.

The first presenter is 8k Miles, a web based delivery platform for software services that leverages web based collaboration and secure networks to offer services remotely. Another company to watch out for is Zyme which offers an interesting portfolio of outsourced business analytics services relevant to decision making in the retail and financial services industries.

The second presenter is Aujas Networks, a digital security services company that specialises in application security, risk assessment and vulnerability management. Aujas co-founders will talk about the relevance and prevalence of security in business processes and systems for today’s extended enterprises. iViz and ZScaler are two other companies with Indian founders that are worth looking at in the security management space; iViz offers intelligent and automated penetration testing services for IT systems and ZScaler offers security services on the cloud which is a very interesting model to look at.
