#SS June – Gurgaon Reporting!

Entrepreneurship today is an idea which instigates the ideation capability of most young people. Young mind is gradually turning towards setting up their own ventures rather than working for others and here comes the role of Head Start. The Startup Saturdays conducted by HeadStart across 12 cities is outstanding in its effort to help these budding entrepreneurs, to make the rough terrain of their journey towards success a smooth one.

The June chapter of start up Saturday, Gurgaon was an enlightening session. The theme was “Meet the investors”. Mr.Pradeep Gupta (Chairman and managing director CyberMedia), Mr.Vikas Kuthiala (Member, Indian Angel Network), Mr.Varun Khurana (Member – Indian Angel Network) were the speakers for the evening. Their insight on the investment scenario in our country and how the business plans are screened for investment was something of great help to the entrepreneurs who have already started their start up or people who aspire to do so.

While submitting a business plan its often only assumption about the facts that may be taken into concern by the investors but, this unique effort named “Startup Saturday” HeadStart have really bridged the gap and enabled to understand the investors point of view and what exactly is the ingredients they are looking in a business plan to trust their capital on it.

The question and answer session with the investors from the Angel network assured people like me, who want to start up business, almost out of nothing that, it’s the strength of a clear and organised idea that can generate investors trust and support for your venture.

Thus, overall the experience of the evening was invaluable and endowed with immense learning and clarification of facts that was otherwise in darkness. This great initiative on the part of head start is truly appreciable and I and my friends from SOIL (School of inspired leadership) are really looking forward to start-up Saturdays, as a platform for learning and opportunity in the near future.
