ZiMesh : Powering knowledge discovery in informal networks

We have all heard of social networks which are really formal networks of people who have identified themselves as having relationships with each other. However, would you know people who have similar interests such as yours ? When you look at the number of documents you have created on your office desktop and those that your colleagues have shared on an intranet, would you be able to find all the documents that address a similar context to the one you are viewing ? Or find people who probably have worked on similar things that the document deals with ? It is this sort of knowledge discovery, of both people and documents, that ZiMesh (which is the name of the product MeshLabs has created) powers. The video explains it all.
